On 20 December 2021, in Xuyen Moc District, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, CNG Vietnam Joint Stock Company (CNG Vietnam) held a Conference on Safety – Health – Environment and review of the Safety – Quality – Environment Management System for the year 2021 (Conference).
Attending the Conference, there were the presence of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai – Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Vu Van Thuc – Director of the Company, representatives of the Board of Directors, Board of Supervisors, Expert Team, departments, branches and employees currently carrying out CNG Vietnam’s Safety – Health – Environment work.
Speaking at the opening, Mr. Vu Van Thuc – Director of the Company shared that under prolonged effects of the Covid-19 epidemic from early 2020, especially the “forth wave” complicated developments in April 2021 negatively affected all socio-economic aspects in Vietnam, most provinces and cities across the country have applied Guidance No. 16/CT – CP to contain the disease spread. Accordingly, most production and business activities were in a passive position due to supply chain disruptions, and CNG Vietnam was no exception. In such a difficult and challenging context, CNG Vietnam promptly adjusted its production and business strategy, regularly updated flexible epidemic prevention plans, adapted to the pandemic developments, in order to ensure a safe and continuous gas supply to customers, successfully completed production and business tasks for the year 2021.

2021 Conference on Safety – Health – Environment and review of Safety – Quality – Environment Management System takes place in a special context, when the whole country is entering socio-economic recovery phase under new normal conditions. This Conference is organized to evaluate remarkable achievements and also frankly discuss issues that need to be improved in the field of Safety – Health – Environment in 2021, agree on tasks and directions for Safety – Health – Environment work in 2022, and is also an opportunity for the Company to improve Safety – Quality – Environment Management System in the coming time, to improve corporate management system, as a premise for implementation of the Company’s Development Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2035.
At the Conference, Report on 2021 Safety – Health – Environment and review of Safety – Quality – Environment Management System showed that CNG Vietnam completed its 2021 Safety – Quality – Environment goals with impressive results: Ensured gas output volume and quality for customers, consumption volume reached 270 million Sm3 accounting for nearly 70% of the country’s market share, a growth of 119% compared to 2020, and fulfilled 111% of the 2021 plan; The rate of customers satisfied with the quality and service provided by the Company in 2021 reached 92.3%, an increase of 10.32 % compared to 2020, there were no customer complaints related to product and service quality; Prevented incidents in operation, repair and maintenance and construction on gas works; safe, continuous and stable gas supply to customers with the ratio of safe operation hour/gas works operation reaching 99.86%; Maintained and continuously improved the Company’s Safety – Quality – Environment Management System to comply with international standards, legal requirements and meet the expectations of stakeholders.

Topics discussed at the Conference including “Application of Safety – Quality – Environment Management System at the Company, recommendations for improvement” and “Safe adaptation” in the “new normal” attracted interest and appreciation from leaders and participants.

Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai – Chairwoman of the Board of Directors praised the results achieved in respect of Safety – Health – Environment in the year 2021, such as maintained safe, continuous and stable gas supply for customers, ensured safety and health of employees during the epidemic, greatly contributing to the excellent completion of production and business tasks of CNG Vietnam in 2021. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai suggested that all the units promote the achievements, focus on further improving the effectiveness of OSH-Fire prevention and control, accident and incident prevention. In addition, the safety teams at all units need to strengthen the propaganda about safety, promote the awareness of epidemic prevention, realizing the dual goal of ensuring the prevention and control of Covid-19, protect employee’s health, and promote production and business when eligible.
