On 18 May 2021, at Malibu Hotel – No. 263 Le Hong Phong Street, Thang Tam Ward, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria Vung Tau Province, CNG Vietnam Joint Stock Company (CNG Vietnam) successfully held the 2021 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS).
Attending the meeting were members of the Board of Directors, Board of Management, Board of Supervisors, especially shareholders and representatives of shareholders holding 17,321,408 shares, equivalent to 64.1541% of the total voting shares at the GMS.
Reporting to Shareholders at the GMS, Mr. Vu Van Thuc – Member of the Board of Directors cum Director of CNG Vietnam emphasized: 2020 was a very difficult year, especially with the dual impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and oil prices. CNG Vietnam’s leadership and all employees made great efforts, united, and took advantage of every opportunity to complete the production and business plan for 2020 set out by the GMS.
CNG Vietnam’s leadership presented the contents of the Proposals and Reports at the Meeting, Shareholders and the Presidium discussed, exchanged and clarified related contents. Most of the comments revolved around the Company’s solutions to increase profits, to develop the market, and LNG business in the near future. After discussions, the GMS approved all the contents presented at the Meeting.
Regarding human resources, the GMS approved: Dismissing the position of member of the Board of Directors for Mr. Bui Tuong Dinh and dismissing the position of member of the Board of Supervisors for Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Yen; at the same time, the Meeting elected Mr. Bui Van Dan and Mr. Nguyen Huu Thang as members of the Board of Directors; elected Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huyen to hold the position member of the Board of Supervisors with a very high approval rate.
Also at the Meeting, on behalf of the major shareholder of PetroVietnam Gas Corporation JSC (PV GAS), Mr. Trieu Quoc Tuan – Member of the Board of Directors of PV GAS highly appreciated and recognized the efforts of the Leaders and all employees of CNG Vietnam in 2020. He also affirmed that PV GAS will always support and create all conditions in terms of supply and policies for CNG Vietnam to develop the market, increase output, and occupy market share of CNG consumption in 2021 as well as imported LNG, ensuring the stable and long-term development.
Speaking at the closing of the Meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai – Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of CNG Vietnam, on behalf of all employees, the Board of Directors sent her deep thanks to PetroVietnam Gas Corporation, customers and partners, especially Shareholders who have always supported and accompanied CNG Vietnam over the years and look forward to continuing to receive the support of PV GAS and Shareholders on the development journey in the years to come. CNG Vietnam has fully understood and received the directions from PetroVietnam Gas Corporation, and opinions of shareholders so that CNG Vietnam strives to successfully complete the 2021 production and business plan assigned by the GMS.
