On October 16, 2022, the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) station took place at Thuan Dao Industrial Park, Long An province.
Attending the ceremony were, the Investor – CNG Vietnam Joint Stock Company, with the participation of:
- Mr. Nguyen Huu Xuan, Deputy Director of the Company;
- Mr. Nguyen Trong Hung, Director of Phu My Branch;
- Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, Deputy Head of Technical – Investment Department.
Intertek supervisory consultant representative:
- Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chi, Chief Supervision Consultant.
Representative of CTC project management consultant:
- Mr. Doan Manh Cuong, Project Manager.
On the side of construction contractor, Cryogenic Flow Controls (CFC Vietnam), with the participation of:
- Mr. Nguyen Van Hung – Director of the company.
This is CNG Vietnam’s first LNG station project with a storage capacity of 50 tons in the first stage. It is expected that after completion of construction and installation in April 2023, the station will supply to customers currently using Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) such as Oechsler Motion, Nam Hung steel, Petfood Evolution, Asia Steel, etc. In the future, the station will be expanded to accommodate the needs of other industrial customers at Thuan Dao Industrial Park.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huu Xuan, Deputy Director of CNG Vietnam emphasized that although this is a small-scale gas project, it is the first LNG station and an important first step for the chain of LNG projects throughout the country when the supply and prices are stable.
Representative of the construction contractor CFC Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung thanked the investor CNG Vietnam for trusting the contractor’s capacity and committed to implementing the project safely on schedule and ensuring quality.
With the orientation to popularize the use of clean fuels such as CNG, LNG, CNG Vietnam wishes to contribute to minimizing impacts on the environment, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and ensuring environmental criteria according to international conventions that Vietnam has inked.
